The best tools to find YouTube collab partners in 2026

Updated November 5, 2026 · 8 min read · By the Youvik team

Short answer: For collabs between small channels, the options are a dedicated network (Youvik or CollabPals), free communities on Reddit and Discord, and manual search with a channel analyzer. Collabstr is for paid brand deals, and YouTube's Collaborations feature credits partners but does not find them.

We make one of the tools on this list, so read it with that in mind. We have tried to describe each option by what it is for, including where another one is the better choice. Prices and features of other products were checked on their own sites on November 5, 2026 and can change.

    Youvik

Youvik is a network for small YouTube creators, roughly 100 to 50,000 subscribers. Creators connect their YouTube channel, so the subscriber count on a profile is read from YouTube and not typed by hand.

    • Open collabs. A host posts a format (joint video, guest swap, podcast guest, Short or live), a date, a channel-size range and a number of seats. Creators in range take a seat directly. A full collab opens a group chat, and the host closes it with the published video, which is checked against YouTube.
    • Directory. Creators with a connected channel, matched by size and niche. Invite one and a match opens a private chat.
    • Around it. A channel X-ray for any public channel, a read of your own YouTube Analytics, and a thumbnail preview in a real feed.
    • Cost. Joining and hosting open collabs is free. Free accounts see their 3 best-fit creators and get 10 collab requests a month. PRO is $14.99 a month and Ultimate $29.99.

Where it falls short. Youvik is new and the network is still small, so in a narrow niche you may find few creators today. It is YouTube only. And the directory with every filter is a paid feature.

    CollabPals

CollabPals describes itself as an all-in-one YouTube creator platform. It has a collaboration marketplace where creators browse and post listings for joint videos, guest appearances, Shorts collaborations, challenges, series and live streams, and can message each other directly. It also offers creator shoutouts earned through credits, AI tools for titles and descriptions, thumbnail voting and a media kit for sponsors.

    • Cost. A free account with no subscriber minimum. Paid plans are Growth at $19 a month, Pro at $49 and Elite at $149, which add more credits and promotion features.
    • Pick it when you want a listings marketplace together with shoutout exchanges, or you are also looking for sponsors.

    Reddit and Discord communities

Subreddits such as r/NewTubers and Discord servers for small creators are where many first collabs start. They are free, large and active, and nobody decides who can post.

    • Strengths. The widest pool of creators, every niche, no account beyond the platform itself.
    • Weaknesses. A lot of reading for each good match. Subscriber counts and activity are whatever people write. Threads move fast, so a good post is buried in a day. There is no structure for dates or follow-through.
    • Pick it when you have time to filter and you check each channel yourself before answering.

YouTube search and a channel analyzer

You can find partners with nothing but YouTube. Search your topics, filter by upload date, open the channels your size and look at how their recent videos perform. It is slow and it works, because you choose every channel yourself.

An analyzer shortens the vetting. The free YouTube Channel Analyzer reads the latest public uploads of any channel and shows its breakout videos, the length and upload day that perform best and the title patterns of its winners. The free YouTube Collab Finder lists creators around your size for a niche. Neither needs an account.

    YouTube Collaborations

YouTube has a feature called Collaborations. When you upload, you can invite up to 10 creators as collaborators on a video. It works for long-form videos and Shorts. Once they accept, their name and a subscribe button for their channel appear on the video. The revenue goes to the channel that posted it and is not split.

It is the right way to credit a partner. It does not help you find one, so it sits at the end of the process, whichever option above you used to get there.

    Collabstr

Collabstr comes up in searches for collab tools, but it solves a different problem. It is a marketplace where brands search for creators, hire them and pay through escrow, with a platform fee on each order. If you want paid sponsorship work, it is relevant. If you want to make a video with another creator your size, it is not built for that.

    How to choose

    • You want a collab on the calendar this month: a network with dated posts. On Youvik that is an open collab.
    • You want the largest pool and do not mind filtering: Reddit and Discord.
    • You already know who you want: write to them directly. This guide has a message you can copy.
    • You want brand deals: Collabstr or a similar marketplace.
    • You found your partner: credit them with YouTube Collaborations when you publish.

Whichever you use, the work that decides whether the collab happens is the same: pick a channel that is a real fit, and propose one specific video with a date. How to find YouTube collab partners with under 1,000 subscribers covers the first part.

    Frequently asked

What is the best app to find YouTube collab partners?

It depends on what you need. For a dated collab with creators of your size and verified channel sizes, Youvik. For a listings marketplace with shoutout exchanges, CollabPals. For the widest free pool, communities on Reddit and Discord. For paid brand work, Collabstr.

Is there a free way to find YouTube collaborators?

Yes. Reddit and Discord communities and YouTube search are free. On Youvik, browsing, joining and hosting open collabs is free. CollabPals has a free account.

Does YouTube have a built-in collab feature?

Yes. YouTube Collaborations lets you invite up to 10 creators as collaborators on a long-form video or a Short, and shows their name and a subscribe button on the video. It credits partners. It does not find them.

What is the difference between Youvik and CollabPals?

Both help YouTube creators collaborate. Youvik is built around open collabs with a date, seats and a channel-size range, with sizes read from each creator's connected YouTube channel. CollabPals is a broader platform with a collab marketplace, shoutouts earned through credits, AI tools and a media kit.

Is Collabstr good for YouTube collabs between creators?

No. Collabstr is a marketplace for brands to hire creators for paid content. It is not designed for two creators making a video together.
